Successful seminar in Belgorod

Date: 12-04-2010

The pig seminar on the 8th of April in Belgorod was rather successful. The turn out with over 30 interested participants, besides students and officials, was however not as many as was expected.
The presentations of the representatives of Provimi, Hotraco (Ajax-agri), Topigs and Nedap, did give the participants new information on the health management of pigs. Controlled individual feeding and closed production of your own replacement on the farm, are just some of the topics which are very interesting in relation to health management. During the discussions it was made very clear that these kinds of new technologies are necessary on farm level, to reduce mortality on the farm and incursion of diseases into the farm.

Seminars SRF
Date: 24-11-2009
On 16 and 18 November the SRF team did implement there first seminars in Dmitrov and Kolomna for Russian dairy farms. Although we had invited about 10 farms from the North of Moscow to Dmitrov and another 10 from the south of Moscow to Kolomna, the turn out was disappointed. At both places 2 to 3 farms were present for this very interested feeding seminar on farm level. An evaluation has to be worked out to see if this program is attractive enough for the farms to be continued.
